A Taiwanese woman has decided to marry herself in an elaborate ceremony due to a lack of potential/interesting suitors. The 30 year old Chen Wei-yih has posed for a set of photos in a flowing white dress, enlisted a wedding planner and rented a banquet hall for a marriage celebration with 30 friends.
Chen will marry herself. Uninspired by the men she's met but facing social pressure to get married, the 30-year-old Tapei office worker will hold the reception next month in honor of just one person. "Age thirty is a prime period for me" and my work and experience are in good shape 6 says the bride to be'.
The Taiwanese office worker will reportedly don a floor-length white gown and flowing veil, carry a fragrant bouquet and enjoy a gourmet meal with 30 of her closest friends and family members. Only there's one major difference: for the 30-year-old Tapei resident, there will be no Prince Charming, no tuxedoed groom.
Chen Wei-yih has finally planned the wedding day she's been dreaming about since she was a young girl. On November 6th 2010, the Taiwanese office worker will hold an almost $5000 party in honor of herself with herself to herself. whew!!!
"I was just hoping that more people would love themselves," said Chen, who will go on a solo honeymoon to Australia.
Chen said her mother had insisted on a groom at first but later jumped aboard the solo marriage plan.
But as Chen cannot officially register a marriage to herself, if she finds a man later she will wed again.
"If I had a steady boyfriend, I wouldn't do this," Chen said. "it would be offensive to him, anyway".....
Wonders will never end … This sure would make its debut in the Guiness book of Records fro 2011, won’t it?!
We’ll just wait and see how it goes, then share.
this is ridiculous mehn!!!
