A Truth or Dare Game gives Timi & Tope their “Dream Wedding”
A Dream Wedding, the first of its kind in Nigeria, and like the Cinderella story, a Bride’s fairytale fantasy becomes a real love story and a dream come true, on Saturday 26th June 2010.
Like in other fairytale love stories, she met her Prince Charming with a little twist to the story….
The Meeting:
Tope: “I thought I could make any girl fall for me but Yetunde, my family friend decided to prove me wrong. She made Timi come to the house not knowing anything about the bet so I could have a go! I lost my bet but found my love & life!"

Fairy Godmother:
On a cool day, Timi was behind the wheels with a broken car stereo which made her tuned in to Inspiration FM (a radio station in Lagos, Nigeria) and heard about the NaMyWedding Dream Wedding Competition.
Whoosh!! iWayAfrica Nigeria Ltd, the producers of the NaMywedding.com website waves the magic wand to give a lucky couple a FREE celebrity wedding.
She enters for the competition and the voting starts. Timi and Tope were shortlisted as one of the Top Ten with the leading vote of 11,519votes.
The Launch:
At the launch of the NaMywedding.com, with Dan Foster and Wana anchoring the event, the Top Ten contestants were drilled with questions like;
- What part of your fiancée’s body does she wish she could change?
- What was she wearing on your first date?
- If your fiancé was deserted on an island, what is one thing she could not do without?
Difficult questions, Yes; but behold Timi & Tope scaled through and now we celebrate their union and love...."sighs"
The Grand Wedding Ball:
The Attire - The ball gown, tiara, silver slipper….
The Bride & Chief bride’s maid were gorgeously attired by Yes I Do Bridal, 2010 collection while the Groom & his Best man were clothed by Wardrobes, in the best of Italian couture, rivaling any GQ model.
Bridal and train make-up was handled by House of Tara with a Beauty, Health & Spa treatment for couple that was handled by Venivici Spa.
Sumptuous dishes for the day were catered by specialty caterers - Wine & Gold.
Event Hall concept and fairytale theme creatively styled by Furtullah consultants, Event planning was handled by Zapphaire events.
The 4-tier Pumpkin style wedding cake was designed by Upper crust cakes, a $2,000 VISA Debit card for shopping from Zenith bank Plc, a DSTV decoder courtesy Multichoice, to keep the memories of the wedding fresh in their minds forever, professional photography with a wedding album was handled by Camara studios.
Finally on this bumper fest is a more exciting and relaxing Honeymoon getaway trip to the Obudu Mountain Resort….What more can cinderella (bride) ask for!!
The highlight of the wedding event was the breathtaking performance by sensational R n B artiste - Obiwon.
