FAVORITE WEDDING SONGS

Wedmusic
The Couple’s first wedding dance is one of the most memorable moments of the whole wedding ceremony. It’s a part of the wedding that lasts forever in your mind. Whatever song you choose to dance to as your first dance together as a couple is a song that anytime you hear it play, you have nostalgic moments and it will forever put a smile on your face.

I remember my wedding song – From this moment on by Shania Twain and there is no time I hear the song that I don’t remember my wedding day and how beautiful that dance was. It was a song chosen solely by my husband and the lyrics/words are so deep that I don’t have any regrets allowing him pick the song that depicts the way our love is.
I know most of us who are married would agree that the wedding song is an important part of the ceremony and it is important that you choose a song that would not only depict the love or sort of put in words, the love that exist between both of you but also a song that you can listen to after the wedding and during the trying times in your marriage.

I have compiled my all-time favorite wedding (love) songs and I hope you enjoy them as much as I have over the years. These 15 songs to me are TIMELESS!

LIONEL RICHIE and DIANA ROSS – Endless Love. This is a classic song that has stood the test of time.
ROD STEWART – Have I told you lately that I love you? Highly popular song.
WHITNEY HOUSTON – I will always love you. Best version of the Dolly Parton’s song.
SHANIA TWAIN – From this moment on.  Anytime I hear this song, I go all mushy inside. The lyrics are deep.
SHANIA TWAIN – You still the one I love. Beautiful, simply beautiful!
CELINE DION – Power of Love. Powerful song! Celine Dion is one singer that cuts across all age.  I also love Luther Vandross’s Power of Love as well.
ELTON JOHN – Can you feel the love tonight? This is one of the soundtracks of the Disney’s Classic Lion King.
ELVIS PRESLEY – Can’t help falling in love. THE KING of Rock n Roll outdid himself with this beautiful number. This is a classic; it has never lost its tender emotion over the years.
RIGHTEOUS BROTHERS – Unchained Melody. Most of us would remember this song from the film – Ghost (Demi Moore, Whoopi Goldberg and Patrick Swayze). The melody and lyrics will have the two of you gazing affectionately into each other's eyes and singing along with this timeless love ballad. This song brings tears to my eyes. This is a baby-making song.
HOOTIE & THE BLOWFISH – I only wanna be with you. This is one song most people won’t recognize but go watch the movie – An officer and a gentleman; it’s one of the song tracks.
CHRIS DE BURGH – Lady in red. Ok, I had to slip this one! I love the lyrics.
PEABO BRYSON AND ROBERTA FLACK – Tonight I celebrate my love. This is a song no matter your age, you would recognize.
RUBEN STUDDARD – Flying without wings. For me this is the best rendition of the Westlife’s original. Biggie Ruben did justice to this song in American Idol. This was his winning song.
WET WET WET – Love is all around me. Lovely song. This was a onetime theme song for Celtel (Econet Wireless)
ENRIQUE IGLESIAS – Hero. Lovely, Danceable song. This was used in one of the adverts for MTN.

The BEST FATHER and DAUGHTER songs are –

For all those times you stood by me by Celine Dion
Unforgettable by Nat King Cole
My Girl by Temptations
Dance with my father again by Luther Vandross
Phil Collins- Against all odds
The song selected for the first dance is generally a slow romantic number to go with the mood of the moment and to help create a feeling of togetherness. The first dance is only open to the just married couple to hog the limelight and if the song is properly selected then it adds up to the atmosphere.
There are numerous songs to select from that it is often hard to settle on the perfect one. You might want to select a title that you have listened to on your first date together, or maybe there is a song that the two of you consider to be "yours". Maybe you have a favorite singer and want to select something that they have performed in the past.
Discuss it as a couple and let the picking of a special wedding dance song be one of your first shared decisions. This is a vital consideration and you will want to give it great deal of thought. Why not listen to wedding music samples from some of your favorite songs and vote on the ones you like the best. Next, after you have narrowed a larger field of pickings the final selection might be easier.

Best of Luck selecting your own timeless song.
