Every bride goes through the whirlwind stage of getting the perfect wedding gown that would define her personality, but most times a bride-to-be tends to decide on the dream gown not because it actually suits her physique or boosts her personality but because it is beautiful. The wedding gown should depict three (3) things - Timeless Elegance, Quality and a bit of Individuality.

STYLES and YOU!
- A-Line / Princess style
This is universally agreed to be the most popular style available. It forms a triangular shape from top to bottom. The bodice is narrow and flatters the curves of your upper body as it works its way down.
This style fits most body type, except the lady has no defined waistline.
Princess gowns have noticeable vertical panels that extend from the shoulders to hips and below, which the A-line does not. This fairytale silhouette lends itself well to short-waisted brides that necessitate the appearance of length. Brides with thick-waists should probably steer clear of the princess cut, since it accentuates the mid-section.
The A-Line skirt of the princess dress creates the illusion of a perfect hourglass figure.

- Ball gown
Although, it’s often mistaken for an A-line, the skirt is much fuller as it flows down. Ball gowns are probably the most traditional romantic dresses and there are two (2) styles - FLAT-FRONT ball gowns, which have smooth a seamless front and a fully pleated back, and DROPPED-WAIST ball gowns that have a bodice fitted through the hips.
Ball Gowns with billowing full skirts are perfect for tall brides with narrow hips. It is not particularly a good silhouette for petite brides who may appear lost in their dress. Ball gown type dresses are recommended for the following body types - Pear shaped, Slim or have an hour-glass figure.

- Empire gown
The empire gown is known for its high-waisted design, sewn with a seam just under the bustline. The flow of an empire gown begins gracefully from bust to hem and offers a delicate, period-looking dress style that often makes petite brides appear long and lean.
Empire waist gowns are recommended for women who are petite or do not have a defined waistline. They may also be considered for women with an inverted pear shaped body.

- Sheath gown
For brides who do not want a bulky wedding gown, this is a slimming dress shape; the sheath lightly skims the bride’s figure, creating a lovely, fitted look.
