ROYAL WEDDING Part 1 - The matchmaker, Guest list and the 10 things Kate's forbidden to do

Royal_couple
With just 12 hours to the Royal wedding of the century, we decided to let you in on some of the realities of the wedding especially as regards the “Cinderella story”.

It was just a party that led to the continued romance between Prince William and Ms. Kate Middleton, and the brain behind this is 28-year-old horse racing jockey Sam Waley-Cohen, without him the marriage wouldn't be happening at all.

Waley-Cohen turned royal matchmaker in 2007 when, after Prince William and Kate Middleton had been split up for several months, he invited both of them to a party he organized at his wealthy family's 400-year-old mansion in Oxfordshire.

At the time it appeared as though the break-up would be permanent. However, William and Kate, who had scarcely seen each other since their split, spent hours locked in conversation and rekindled all of their old feelings.

Sure, becoming a princess is a fantasy of many young girls, and for the ‘commoner’ Kate Middleton, it’s becoming reality tomorrow once she marries her Prince William. But marrying a prince charming does come with a price for Kate (or Catherine once she marries into the Royal Family.), the rules and etiquette for a princess can be quite demanding, especially in the modern age.

Once Kate marries her Prince, she’ll no longer be able to the normal things that everyday people are accustomed to, but instead have to adopt the proper rules followed by the Royal Family. Here are ten things Kate won’t be able to take part in once she marries William!

1. Be called “Kate”: Her well-known nickname will no longer suit the high style of Westminster. After she’s married, ‘Kate’ will turn into ‘Catherine’ or ‘Ma’am’ and her official royal title will become ‘Her Royal Highness the Princess William of Wales (The Duchess of Cambridge).’

2. Vote: The Royal Family is technically allowed to vote, but don’t participate because it would be considered unconstitutional. This keeps up with the Royal Family’s  public role, which is based on identifying with every section of society, including minorities and special interest groups.

3. Run for political office:  For the same reasons as above.

4. Escape public scrutiny: The British Monarchy is under the watchful eye of the media 24/7, and already under the spotlight for the past nine years, Kate has already dealt with media criticism for insignificant issues like being a ‘commoner,’ not being outgoing enough, and being an outrageous social climber. Once she’s crowned as princess, the criticism and scrutiny will only increase.

5. Say or do anything controversial: Already she’s not one to stir up much controversy besides walking down the runway in a see-through dress in college, but doing anything that could cause an uproar is definitely out of the question once she’s princess.

6. Play Monopoly: Believe it or not, Prince Andre Duke of York outlawed playing Monopoly with the Royal Family at home in 2008, “because it gets too vicious.” Kate will never know what it’s like to collect $200 when passing ‘Go’ with the Queen and Royal Family.

7. Eat shellfish: Another odd limitation for Kate once she marries, but British Royals avoid eating shellfish because of the fear of food poisoning.

8. Finish her dinner: When dining at the table with the Queen, royals stop eating when the Queen stops eating, no matter how hungry you are.

9. Work: Although she graduated with a History of Art degree, Kate isn’t expected to hold a job once she marries into the Royal Family. Royals have a history of failed careers including Prince Charles’ working part-time in a factory. Besides, being a princess is a full-time job anyways.

10. Sign anything unofficial: If Prince William becomes king, Kate will become a counselor of state and might have to sign government papers and bring legislation into force in her husband’s place.
Apart from that we also have the controversy of the Royals not inviting anyone from the USA not even the Obama’s … humph.
We feel mighty unsure with this but we wait till tomorrow to see all the guests in attendance or what do you think about this?

I dnt think there's anything golddigging about this. The prince is meant to marry someone, irrespective of whether she's royal or a commoner. Just bcos a commoner is married to a prince doesn't mean she's a gold digger. Our destinies are different from each other, but we all pray to achieve the best position in life. We should not condemn when we secretly pray in our hearts to be like them
