Train Trends For 2011 - Choosing your Bridesmaids (Tips & Colors)

Choosing and managing your brides maids is a dilemma each of us face when we plan our wedding.
Goodnews! check out some colorful tips to choosing and managing your brides maids.

First you must cross out the friends who either don't get along well, those not up to the task, or are not too enthusiastic at all about being in the wedding.

Practice Good Coordination
Be sure to match bridesmaids' accessories to the color of their gowns. Bridesmaids {we all do} will often complain that they're spending a lot of money to be in your wedding party, so they believe they're entitled to a say in all fashion decisions. Your best bet? Listen politely and respectfully. Thank them for their input {seed sowing}. Tell them you'll be taking everyone's suggestions into consideration-but don’t lose your grip.

Style - If you've asked your 'maids to wear similar hairstyles, make sure earrings complement their 'dos. Updos like topknots, chignons and French twists call for drop earrings to accentuate facial features and add just the right amount of sparkle. If hair will be worn curled and loose, chandelier earrings fit the bill. For 'maids with short hair, all is not lost: Pixie cuts and short bobs are best accentuated with studs and button earrings. You can still achieve a consistent look by asking everyone-regardless of hair length, texture or style-to wear the same type of jewels, be it pearls or chandeliers.

Selection Process

More isn’t merrier – The more the bridesmaids, the greater the potential of having complications. Then there’ll be too many different ideas. The fewer the better especially as it will reduce cost and hate.

Blood Is Thicker Than Water- You may want to use your sister (elder or younger) if you are close to them. You can even surprise your husband by using his sister if you don’t have, still its unusually worth including family just to avoid unnecessary conflict. Think of it as having more bargaining powerwhen you’re battling with your parents over the guest list.

Try Not to Make Hasty Assumptions – Don’t write off any friend after all some “seemingly” close friends shy away or even abandon you at the last minute. If your very close friend is having financial difficulty you can tell her to either bring what she has or put her into something else to make her feel close to you. You can also let her be like a second maid of honor by letting her wear something she already has bur in color and style.

A bridesmaid can also be a male friend - If your best friend is a guy and your husband is comfortable with him, there’s no reason he can’t be on the train (your husband’s grooms men). A man from the brides side is called Attendant or brides man’ while a woman from the grooms side is called grooms woman’.

No, you don’t have to reciprocate same – Just because someone asked you to be in her wedding doesn’t mean that you must have her in yours. It’s not a birthday event that you have to reciprocate in same manner. Weddings are no good a time for ‘quid pro quo’, its serious business.

You can go ahead and have two maids of Honor/Chief brides Maid - There’sno reason or rule that says you can’t. If there are two ladies in your life you feel closest to, of course you’ll want them to b e by your side on your wedding day so go on have two. Just specify the duties clearly on what you want them to do in order to avoid any squabble over attendant duties like: who holds the ring, gown, bouquet, stand next to you, pictures and so on.

Life will go on even if you have uneven numbers of groomsmen and bridesmaids - Everyone mustn’t have a partner at “dance dance”, the match in, pictures. Do not put yourself under pressure to fill positions.

Don’t give the wrong Impression -  There is nothing worse than a friend assuming that she’s going toi be on the train when she won’t, plan early and be diplomatic. Once you make up your mind about your maids get the word out early so you can also fill up unforeseen disappearances {that way everyone is happy}.if you’re afraid of hurting someone’s feelings remember that as cliché as it may sound, any true friend will understand and respect whatever decision you ultimately make.
