Employing Pregnant Women

View all Questions Ask a Question

This is not a regular wedding question but has to do with life of a disturbed woman.

I am engaged and 6 months pregnant and set to do my court wedding and engagement next month.

I'm presently working at a private firm which I'm sick and tired of and fortunately wrote a test of one of the international banks and got successful, I have done an interview and waiting for the preceding ones.

I'm confident I would succeed in the next stages but my fair is the pregnancy, luckily, my bump isn't that obvious if its well packed. I hope I won't be discriminated against after medical test, this is my dream job, what do u advice me to do because I'm scared?

actually we need to be realistic here no company will want to employ a pregnant woman. Companies want to employ potential employees who will work and contribute to the company success for a while before they start having breaks and they do not want someone who will be in and out within the short period of starting the job and bank jobs are always stressful so they would be reluctant if they get to find out that you are already pregnant all the same pray about finding favor and let the company look beyond your situation and also you need to be prepare on whatever outcome that comes out of it .

but seriously, something should be done about segregration against pregnant women and the likes.to me that should be eradicated but realistically, like Aduke said, its really hard 2 find companies that employ pregnant women. It only takes the grace of God.Pray and have faith n that which u desire will def come to pass

Thank you all for the contributions, prayers and supports. I have finally gotten the job offer which i give God the glory for. I hope other companies would look beyond the condition of their potential employees, what matters most is the deliverables. My wedding is November and i'll definately come back!

Chao!
