Am supposed to be the one to orgainse her bridal shower but mmh.......i dont know much about this and i dont want to let me & her down. Please i need some good advice on how to make it work, you know....something simple yet memorable.Thanks.
It usually not compulsory that the maid of honor organises the bridal shower, it could be done by any of the bride's friends that wants to.
The most important thing to know is that you need to have a list of her friends and colleagues, which means more than one person can plan the shower.
The shower could be a day or night thing depending on the preference of the group.
You could all go clubbing with the bride to her favorite club or restuarant or just have something cosy in someone's house.
The menu is usually itemised and each grilfriend would select an item to bring in - this usually saves a lot.
The atmosphere should be friendly and fun.
You all talk about the bride to be and what her friendship means to each one.
The married friends can offer advice to the bride-to-be; this area is usually tricky as some advices might not be applicable to her situation or might be controversial.
Also the fun part is when the bride-to-be is on the Hot seat.....here friends have the right to ask any question they want on how she met her guy and other funny stuffs you can come-up with.
Just have fun and lots of it, the theme can be determined when you ladies are all seated. :)
Is this meant to be a surprise shower for the bride to be? If not, then, you need to ask her a few questions to set you on the right path.....i.e. what type of shower does she wants? Does she want a themed shower? Where does she want the shower....etc.

Don't have any idea of what happens @ bridal showers but i think meeboni's advised is better, seems she knows much about bridal showers.
Don't try the surprise shower... it works only in the movies.
